Murder 2 movie Review
Murder 2 is the sequential of the sensational melodrama of Bollywood since the first launch in 2004. The first film had hot sensational scenes which provided a platform for Mallika Sherawat giving bold scenes. Murder 2 is a film directed by Mohit Suri, Produced by Mahesh Bhatt on the story of Mahesh Bhatt. Murder 2 is also a Bollywood erotic thriller of which first part was also written by Mahesh Bhatt himself.
The main lead of the Murder 2 is Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandez which provided sensational and erotic scenes which are tempting the crowd through its bold posters. Murder 2 has been certified as ‘A’ by the Indian Censor Board. The film is being considered to be bolder than the original South Korean film, The Chaser.
Emraan Hashmi playing the role of Arjun Bhagwat happens to be an ex-policeman of the Goa police. Being a greedy person indulges in all kind of activities to earn money. Though being an atheist delivers money to the orphans. Sameer a gangster is aware about the sharp and investigative brain of Arjun uses him to locate his hookers. He offers him handsome money to locate the girls.
Jacqueline Fernandez plays the role of Priya and is portrayed as a model in Murder 2. She has relation with Arjun but cannot understand this relation as Arjun is not willing to provide a proper authenticity to it. While investigating Arjun uses a phone number to locate the missing girls with the help of a dummy customer. This brings to light the character of Reshma being played by Sulagna Panigrahi. She is a college girl indulged into prostitution just to support her family because of the financial crises. Reshma is linked to Sameer who sends her to his rival’s house (Dheeraj Pandey being played by Prashant Narayanan) to get the track of the other girls if possible. Dheeraj is a psychopath killer who has the habit of killing the girls after use. Reshma is also subjected to the same act by Dheeraj and thrown in the well. It is the luck that favours Reshma and she manages to escape as Dheeraj is behind bars and she shelters in a temple.
During the investigations Dheeraj confesses his crime to the police officer (Sudhanshu Pandey). Arjun is incompetent to prove that Dheeraj is the culprit and he is out of the police custody with the help of a friend.
The climax of the film is by the death of Dheeraj at the hands of Arjun when Dheeraj plans to kill Priya. Though Priya is unaware about Dheeraj presence at her home, luck favours her and Arjun reaches in time to her rescue followed by the police. Dheeraj is killed by the hands of Arjun but police saves him firing few bullets at Dheeraj.
The film Murder 2 has some emotional moments other than the sensational scenes. The relation of Priya and Arjun has been portrayed with some confusion but the climax reveals that there is love not lust. Murder 2 is also a satire on the life of the girls in India who indulge into prostitution for very meager reasons. Murder 2 rightly portrays the life where poverty and prostitution goes hand in hand to sustain life.
Screenplay by Shagufta Rafique has been nicely done to bring the moments of the thriller Murder 2 to the best. Tight editing of Devendra Murdeshwar has made the film Murder 2 to be a flawless one, which has action, drama, and emotions.
