Taxcel, with the aim of manufacturing people oriented phones has produced Taxcel Q189. The phone is highly customized to suit the lay men who know to use the mobiles for talking alone. This phone features, size, shape, colour and price everything is just like Taxcel Q188. There is a slight change in camera feature alone.

Phone type and network technology: Taxcel Q189 is a bar type phone. It is a dual SIM phone with dual standby time. It operates in GSM 900 / 1800 MHz | GSM 900 / 1800 MHz.

Design and display of Taxcel Q189: The screen is 1.8 inches with QCIF Display Screen. The display size is 176 x 220 pixels. The phone is available five colours such as champagne, brown, purple, black, blue and red.

Camera: 0.3MP VGA camera is present (up tp 1.3MP by software). The camera resolution is 640 x 480 Pixels. The resolution ensures quality photo and video capture. Video recording option and digital zoom facilities are available. Video player is supported in MP4, 3GP, AVI formats. Full screen play facility is present. Picture formats are supported in JPG, GIF, BMP, PNG formats.

Software: The phone supports WAP browser. Very few interesting games are preloaded in taxcel Q189.

Call records: Missed calls, Dialled numbers, received calls are stored. The users can store good number of contacts. SMS Storage is present. The device supports hand free call and call recording. User profile can be saved in the handset.

Messaging: SMS and MMS options are present. Email or push mail options are not supported. Instant messaging option is not available.

Memory slot: The phone has good internal memory. External memory option is available. T- Flash cards are supported.

Music: Taxcel Q189 supports built in polyphonic and mp3 ringtones. User defined mp3 ring tones are also supported. FM radio (outside FM play) is present. Loud speaker option is available. Audio music is supported in mp3 formats. 20X30 speaker support gives the user a very good music experience.

Battery: It supports BL-5C battery. It gives good talk time and standby time. Compatible Nokia battery, charger and earphone are supported.

Data connection: GPRS class 12 helps in data connection. Bluetooth and USB port helps in data transmission. Wireless protocol, infra red, edge options are not available.

Some more notable features: Torch Light, E-Book Reader, SIM LOCK, phone lock, calculator, calendar, Alarm, preloaded games.

Disadvantages of Taxcel Q189: Taxcel Q189 has no preloaded latest apps. Wi-Fi connections are not possible. Internet connections are not that much good when compared to Q199. The screen size is small. Talk time and standby time is good but it can't competent with other mobiles.

Advantages of Taxcel Q189: The price is affordable by all. The phone inspite of its less features have impressed customers by its low price. Taxcel Q189 with all its basic features suits well to customers who use mobile phones to talk and message.
