This is yet another version of Samsung Galaxy Y. It features both Touch Screen and Qwerty Keypad, much like Samsung Galaxy Pro. The price is yet to be announced.It is a new-generation mobile phone which is yet to be made available in India by Samsung. This phone would quite affordable as per my expectations. It is a compact phone and both touch-screen and Qwerty. . Again 'Y' stands for Young which means that this phone is meant for Young and enthusiastic generation. It comes with nearly same features as Galaxy Y. Keep reading to find out whats in this phone.

Galaxy Y Pro comes with a 3.1 Mega Pixel camera and with the image resolution of 2048x1536 pixels. It neither offers Auto-focus nor any LED flash.It can record a video at QVGA@24 fps. Like Galaxy Y itself, this too doesn't have a front camera which again stops us from making video calls.

It has a TFT capacitive Touch-Screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels.It has a screen size of 2.6 inches. Screen colors are 256K again.

The GSM platform of Samsung Galaxy Y Pro has an operating frequency of GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 while the HSDPA has a frequency of 1900/2100. The data connectivity sources are GPRS, 3G, Wi/Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and A-GPS.

The battery life of this phone would be same as Galaxy Y. The battery is expected to be disappointing. Battery used is Li-Ion 1200 MAh.

The phone has a stereo FM radio with RDS. The ringtones you can use are vibration, polyphonic and MP3. It has a speaker and the sound quality is good but with low volume yet again.

The price of the phone is yet to be annouced It might be somewhere arounf Rs.8000.
