Wave Y is a new-generation mobile phone which has been made available lately in India by Samsung. This phone is quite affordable. It is a compact phone and looks great. It is a simple to use phone. 'Y' stands for Young which means that this phone is meant for the Young generation which is quite involved in chatting. Thats the reason it comes with a Pre-installed app called Samsung Chat-On. Wave Y comes with a 3.1 Mega Pixel camera and with the image resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. It offers Auto-focus and an LED flash. It can record a video at HVGA@30 fps. Sadly, it doesn't have a front camera which barres video calling.

It has a TFT capacitive Touch-Screen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels.It has a screen size of 3.2 inches. Screen colors are 256K
