Google has recently launched the new service for Android phones, called Google Wallet, which turns your phone into a mobile payment system. This service was already announced back in May after partnering up with Citi, MasterCard, First Data and Sprint to make it possible for you to pay cash using Near Field Communication (NFC), please note that this feature is only available in phone having NFC compatibility.
Google wallet seems to be already active in some markets. Google has already released a teaser video featuring the key features of Google Wallet which makes easier for you to pay using NFC. As of now Google Wallet supports Citi MasterCard and Google Prepaid Card which you will be able to fill with other cards. It simply means that after shopping you can pay using your phone by using NFC. Google will also keep you updated with latest offers via syncing your Google Wallet application in Android. In the meantime, you will also get loyalty programs, coupons and offers on your phone.
