Visual Changes in Symbian Anna

While Symbian Anna is not so different than Symbian^3 visually still some changes are there which makes Symbian Anna better than older Symbian versions. There is a new set of rounded icons for applications. Menus are much better than before and looks pretty good. You will notice the real time scrolling with pleases which makes scrolling really smooth. Nokia has followed iOS and Android for transitional animation while scrolling menu with finger, let's see how many users are going to like this against of Android and iOS.

New functionality in Symbian Anna

Since years, Nokia's Symbian platform was stuck on slowish web browsers but in Symbian Anna, coming forward Nokia has updated the web browser to version 7.3 with many new features and support. Yes, new Symbian web browser version 7.3 brings partial support to HTML5 and CSS hardware acceleration for smoother animation and clear user interface. But you may also get disappointed at the same time as it does not supports flash lite and web browser also lags some time. Also you are getting multi-touch support in Symbian Anna.

While Symbian^3 users are getting Symbian Anna update still they have to little taps to get full QWERTY keypad in portrait mode. Yes, Symbian^3 users can triple tap to enable numeric keypad in portrait mode. You will find a few things weird in placement of numbers in keypad layout positioning. Maps for Nokia Symbian Anna is also very similar to earlier version but still it has a little change in the interface and functionality as well. Now you can download full maps of a country using your phone without any need of your computer.

Symbian Anna is providing a bunch of new features and changes in functionality when compared to Symbian^3 but still it has some issues with it like misguiding navigation, outdated widgets on homescreen etc. But even you are going to like this update as it will be a big update for Symbian platform after Symbian^3.
