Dell has released its P513w wireless printer which can be connected to a PC or laptop wirelessly or through a hi-speed USB device. It is wonderful for a home or medium sized office circuitry with capability to take printing commands from multiple users at the same time. Dell P513 printer has the printing speed of 33ppm for black copy and 30ppm for color prints.

It is equipped with a 2.4 inch LCD screen which will preview images and memory card content through which user can directly take a print out without switching the PC on.

The Dell P513w printer has a very low quality body, shoddy wireless service and fast depleting cartridges. Though it gives adequate prints but it is not worth its pricing of $150. Environment friendly eco-mode of P513w and the general design earns its some brownie points from me but the faults of shoddy wireless coverage, absence of auto-document feeder and the frequent jamming of the printer brings the rating of this printer quite down. Add to that the over-priced ink cartridges and you would understand why I am in no way going to recommend you these.

The paper handling capacity of Dell P513W is very home based, it can hold only 100 papers for the input and the output tray can hold a maximum of 25 sheets. One good feature which you do not normally find in a printer of equal to or less than $100 is the presence of the environment friendly automatic duplex printing which is a standard feature here.

The dimensions of Dell P513w printer is 18.8 inches wide, 13.3 inches deep, and 9 inches tall, which is a average size compared to the other multi-function printers present in the market though with the weight of 15.3 pounds it is slightly heavy than the standard. The scanner is located at the top and is of flatbed type with a 1,200×2,400 dpi resolution.

Dell has not included the auto document feeder in this printer which makes it non-compatible for office uses and for those who will not care to feed individual documents in the scanner and printer. I am really confused with the absence of ADF in P513w because even a printer that costs less than $30 right now has this feature.
