Motorola has recently launched world's first non touch Android phone with Sprint. Its new Motorola i886 iDEN which is the first phone in the world to feature Android without any touchscreen. It was too surprising as there were no information that Motorola is working on making any phone to run Android without having a touchscreen.

Nevertheless, it is unknown that what version of Android will Motorola i886 iDEN will run but it is noticed that several standard features on Motorola i886 iDEN that any Android users will expect on their phone. It may be occurred because most of the developers would be considering on optimizing it to run without a touch screen, hence they have made it possible but D-pad of Motorola i886 iDEN is not working properly.

The biggest disadvantages of Motorola i886 iDEN is that it has no access to Android Market which is the heart and soul of any Android phone. Motorola i886 has J2ME virtual machine which support Java application. Now the question is that, will an Android phone with no touchscreen will get success? Even it has no touchscreen support it will be better than what users find on most of the other phones.

For now we can wait for Motorola i886 iDEN release date and Motorola i886 iDEN price to be officially announced by Motorola.
