The active 3D televisions use special LCD shutter glasses which are activated by the emitter which is built-in inside the television. The glass shutters open and close at different times to allow different images into each eye. These glass shutters are expensive and require charging which can be done easily through a USB connection found at the back of the TV or using a laptop. One example of Active 3D television from LG is the LX9900 and LX6900. The advantage of this Active TV from LG is that it provides a full HD 1080p 3D image to each eye and the glasses contain the advanced technology to provide full high definition (HD) 3D viewing experience.
