iPad and iPhone users, iOS 4.2 Has Arrived

With Apple around, you can never say you have enough and are satisfied. And here's why this saying shall always be true, probably!

Apple has finally launched its much awaited, much-hyped and even delayed(due to reasons like WiFi connectivity), its iOS 4.2 update and hence levelling the status of iPad at par with its other devices.

This latest version of iOS 4.2 features is quite a dynamite in itself. It brings back an important utility which the iPad seems to be badly missing- multi-tasking. the ability to create folders will enable categorization of similar apps under one common genre.

One of its utility, 'Find your Device', seems to come straight from the backyard of one of its best competitor- Android. The 'Find your Device' feature will enable you to trace your lost iOS device and remotely wipe out all sensitive information, without leaving back any traceable footprints. Previously, this feature was bundled with the MobileMe suit which could have asked you cough upto 100$.

One feature which none of the iOS 4.2 devices favoured seems to have been taken care of. None of the iOS devices could connect with a port and print but with a feature named AirPrint, users can send their documents over the WiFi to the printer. Though, HP is the sole manufacturer who seems to have come forward to design a software to suite such a functionality, many more manufacturers are set to follow.

Another feature, AirPlay, shall enable users to wirelessl stream media from their iPad onto their T.V. sets and that too, on their latest Apple T.V. sets.

With a more lighter and thinner iPad in sight, its not only a good holiday buy but even a challenging buy against the Android!
