Now days, when the world is getting more digitized, data storage devices are on high on demand. Flash drives are now became the daily users of lifestyle for listening music and transferring the data. But these flash/pen drives are having smaller capacities like 2, 4 and 8GB. Also there are 16GB flash drives but these are very expensive.

So, there is a better option for the faster data transfer. A portable hard drive is better for transferring data faster than flash drives. Basically these are hard drive of laptops which is being used portably.

A portable hard drive is also known as 2.5 inch hard drive. Desktop hard drives are 3.5 inch hard drive, in comparison of laptops. It does not need any external power, it runs of USB power, just plug and start using it.

While buying any portable hard drive, one should take care of every aspect like its warranty service, capacity and build quality etc.

Warranty


While transferring the data, your hard drive can be damage with any reason, so it would be better to look at the warranty while buying. Most of the manufacturers are giving warranty up to 5 years.

External Case


You can get an external case to keep your hard drive handy, you can get it from Rs. 300 to Rs.1600. It let you keep your hard drive safe and makes easy to carry USB cable with it.

Buy a finished Portable Hard Drive


All the potable hard drive comes with a minimum of 1 year warranty but some of them are giving the warranty up to 5 years. Before buying, compare the prices of other hard drives available in the same range.
