 Amazon has launched an upgraded version of Kindle 2 and it is priced at $139 only (USD). The latest Kindle 3 is Wi-Fi version of Kindle which is 6-inch long and costs $50 less than the earlier version. Amazon has cleverly priced the Kindle 3 at $139 which is $10 cheaper than their contender Barnes & Nobles' Wi-Fi Nook. The latest Kindle 3 will be available in two colours: White and Graphite.
Kindle 3 is a lot better than the Kindle 2 in terms of the technology as well as speed. It has a better e-ink technology and a storage of $ GB (store nearly 3500 books). In comparison to Kindle 2 it is 17 percent lighter, 20 percent faster and 21 percent thinner. The main purpose of Kindle 3 is to provide a better quality text. |

Good: Nice constrast, light weight even with the case, good battery life, fast navigation
Bad: Bad browser and MP3 player, battery replacement by Amazon only, bad keyword searching, limited memory

Speed of Amazon Kindle 3
The refresh speed of Kindle is amazing. By refreshing speed I mean the time it takes to load the next page after pressing the page-turn button. The other navigation speed in Kindle is the one to select a book by using the cursor controlled by the five way rocker button. In Kindle the cursor is fast and responsive.
